How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on ( email@example.com ) for the full details. Have a nice day Thanks God bless.
A long time ago I built a model of the USS North Carolina. I still have it. It needs a bit of restoration too. Someday, I hope to see her myself. I have been aboard the USS Alabama in Mobile.
In the military, I was no Sir, just a Sargent doing his duty. My avatar is me 11 years ago in Iraq. Christmas time I get to remembering my time there. Granted too far from home, yet very special to be with a special family there. That was those I had the honor to serve with.
Barbara, I have read about military history for decades. At 49 I went to war. I honored my oath of enlistment. I went. I had a great many uncertainties about going and about myself. I dealt with the uncertainties. I learned to live in an way I never have before. I answered most of the questions about myself. The thankfully unanswered question was firing my M-16 in anger. I never had to. You can't truthfully answer that question until that moment comes.
Today, too much of the news is about Police Officers who had to do what I didn't have to. Pulling the trigger is a life changing moment. It doesn't matter whether you hit or miss. You faced a bitter moment and followed your training. It is a split second where you choose him or me and the answer was him. In many cases you will second guess that moment as a Police Officer. In war most of the time it is more clear.
God protect those officers that faced this moment and did what they were trained to do. That is use deadly force only when no other means to protect others and themselves.
And for war, we must never forget that since I was in Iraq one thing sadly hasn't changed, those we are fighting. They are still heck bent on destroying us. They feel it is their calling from Allah.
Mine was to defend this still great nation from them.
I am retired now.
The war over there, and the battle now here continues.
These will not end until those that started this decides to end it or we surrender to it.
I have no plans to surrender to either. Nor will I follow any "order" to do so.
