Exploiting George Floyd's Death

The Mackinac Center for Public Policy has sued Gov. Gretchen Whitmer over her plan that allows the state to fine business owners up to $70,000 and impose up to three years incarceration for violating her executive orders. Under the emergency powers laws, fines were limited to $500 and jail time was capped at 90 days.

Whitmer’s workplace rules for reopening will be enforced by the Michigan Occupational Health and Safety Administration. That allows for…

by Pam Key

Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) accused Michigan protesters last week of depicting “some of the worst racism” in America’s history.

According to the Michigan governor, those protesting her coronavirus measures had “swastikas, Confederate flags, nooses.”

Detroit Democrats unanimously censure lawmaker who credited Trump for COVID-19 recovery

Detroit — Detroit Democrats unanimously passed a resolution Saturday to censure a Democratic lawmaker who credited President Donald Trump with advocating for the drug that she said cured her of COVID-19.

State Rep. Karen Whitsett, D-Detroit, broke protocol by meeting with President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence during an April 14 meeting of COVID-19 survivors, where she credited hydroxychloroquine for saving her life, a Democratic district leader said.

“Thank…

Trump Pulling Off the Impossible Again

Trump Pulling Off the Impossible Again

While in the paint section at Home Depot, a young couple next to me wore masks. A thought popped into my head, “Am I nuts for not wearing a mask?” “Stop it. Get a grip Lloyd.” When many are responding in fear and panic, it can be a challenge not to succumb.

Governors are allowing people to shop at liquor stores, Walmart, Home Depot, fabric stores and more while banning people from listening to sermons in their cars…

The Mother of All Depressions

Hi all...Been a while since I've been here.  PHN will always be with me.  Love you Sharon!

So much has happened since the days when we were trying to do our part.  I've come to gain some peace.  I only control a very few things and all of the others, I can't worry about them.  I still try to wake people up, but I still see a great deal of apathy and ignorance.  This Coronovirus might be a bio weapon or it could…

The Study Of The History Of The End Of The World, Part 2

Jeroslav Pelikan is quoted as saying, “Apocalypticism ... was the mother of all Christian theology. (Kyle 32).” With technological explanations provided in the attempt to understand many of the obtuse symbols detailed in the eschatological portions of Scripture, it can be easy to assume that preoccupation with the End Times and the return of Christ are new phenomena some might describe as afflicting contemporary believers. However, this sense of anticipation has been a part of Christianity…

The Study Of The History Of The End Of The World, Part 1

Deep within their hearts and minds, a significant number sense that the world is careening towards something that is both catastrophic yet wondrous all at the same time. Not exactly sure of what that is, many attempt to get a handle on this feeling of apprehensive expectation by conceptually referring to the stimuli and data provoking this emotional response as “the End Times”. With advances in technology just as likely to make our lives more complicated as convenient, it is understandable…

The Coronavirus Cure Is Killing Us

b: Mark Alexander

Given that the current viral fear pandemic besieging our nation is a medical issue, let me draw a rough healthcare analogy.

If a woman goes to her doctor and tells him that she is having chest pain, she should get ready for a battery of tests, especially if she is well insured. One reason for all those tests is that the physician wants to help determine the cause and will call in other specialists who will keep ordering tests until the cause can be identified and…

My Thoughts on the Corona Virus

As you all well know, I am retired military. So, a good place to start is to know your enemy.

What is a virus? My good old Webster’s Dictionary defines a virus as:

Definition 2a – same as FILTERABLE VIRUS; Specif., any of a group of ultramicroscopic or submicroscopic infective agents that cause various diseases in animal, as measles, mumps, etc., or in plants, as…
