Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shuklin said he’s tired of the constant “berating” of his department and thinks the negative reports may be hurting veterans access to care.
“It breaks down their confidence in the system,” the new Cabinet secretary said in a department podcast released Friday morning. “I worry there are people who need help who don’t come to us because they hear this narrative in the community.
“I’m looking for a fair and accurate balance, and I really…

Half a million applications for healthcare under the Veteran’s Administration system are set to be discarded at the end of March due to errors on the applications themselves.
The problem is that the the VA is labeling the applications as incorrect due to application error. A whistleblower says the errors are the VA’s fault.
Scott Davis is a well-known VA whistleblower out of Atlanta, Georgia, who has testified before Congress before.…

Liberalism really is a mental disorder.
Mental health professionals say they’re seeing more instances of a type of depression they call “post-election stress disorder” among Democrats who are still upset over Donald Trump‘s victory.
Doctors claim this unofficial medical condition is similar to post-traumatic stress disorder, which afflicts many military veterans who have experienced the horrors of war.

WASHINGTON — Federal authorities are stepping up investigations at Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers due to a sharp increase in opioid theft, missing prescriptions or unauthorized drug use by VA employees since 2009, according to government data obtained by The Associated Press.

The No More Black Targets campaign argues that shooting ranges and instructors should not use “menacing” black targets, and is petitioning to end the practice, citing trigger bias.
“Young black men are 3X more likely to be shot by trained shooters than their white peers,” notes the site for the campaign. “A disturbing potential correlation: The most popular target for shooters to learn to use their firearm is a black silhouette.…

House Republicans berated the Department of Veterans Affairs on Thursday for allowing hundreds of employees to devote all their taxpayer-funded work hours to union activities instead of helping veterans.

Scott Adams, creator of the popular comic strip Dilbert, received his MBA from UC Berkeley and has been a major donor ever since, both in money and time. He’s a strange guy to say the least but after seeing what happened to Milo, he had this to say.
He also took to his blog to elaborate on the issue. Looks like squelching freedom of speech doesn’t pay – literally in this case.
Here’s the…
