Late this afternoon, I had a walk in meeting with my Allegan County Clerk, Mr. Genetski. It went very well.
There is so far just one red flag to be concerned about. Allegan County uses the same brand software that Antrim County in Michigan used that switched over a 1,000 votes from President Trump to Biden.
Mr. Genetski had just finished with a canvasing board meeting when I got there. I explained why I am there and my military and civilian expertise with computers.
He was a bit surprised to learn that Allegan has the same brand of software as Antrim. I am not quite surprised as he ahs been quite busy with this election.
I have seen the totals for Allegan and the result seems to be within norms. No radical vote switch either for the county or voting places. That does not yet mean that votes have been switched in much smaller numbers. We are going to look into this.
The Canvasing Board tomorrow, Tuesday, is going to do a standard recount of Saugatuck. This is a random pick. Mr. Genetski will share the results with me. Great! I am thinking that if there is a problem, we will see a small vote shift. If not, we will talk about any other action that should be taken to validate the votes in the county.
We both have the same sincere goal, an accurate total.
I explained my plan if there is a problem to try to figure out, sort of reverse engineer, how the vote switching occurred. The code in the machine is not in computer language English, but will be the compiled code of 1's and 0's. If there is fraudulent ballot switching code, I am sure it wouldn't be in the computer English printout. It would have been snuck in after the printout. At least that would be my way to cover my tracks.
I learned exactly how the test sample ballots used to verify the machines works. It simply test all possible combinations of votes for each office. The sample is less than 60 ballots. I am sure the programmer would know this so as to start the fraud after more ballots have been screened.
So as of tonight, only one known red flag in Allegan County. No known vote switching yet! I do hope it stays that way. That would be one less problem here in Michigan!
Stay tuned! I will have more to type on Tuesday.
