Veteran John Arnold received a letter from the Veterans Administration (VA) saying he was no longer fit to own guns, and that the guns would be confiscated. Bonner County Sheriff Daryl Wheeler, along with roughly 100 other citizens, rallied around Arnold in a strong show of support.
Arnold received a letter from the VA in which he was allegedly informed that he was no longer fit to own guns. KREM 2 reports “an inspector was to go to Arnold’s home August 6 to complete an inspection and seize the guns.”
Wheeler said: “I took an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution and uphold the laws of Idaho. This seemed appropriate to show my support. I was going to make sure Mr. Arnold’s rights weren’t going to be breached.”
The letter Mr. Arnold received was based on the VA’s assessment that Mr. Arnold did not handle his own finances, which is an indicator to the VA that he was no longer fit to own firearms. The VA inspector did not arrive that day.
As we previously reported, the current administration is determined to disarm the populace in any way they can.
Me Here.....This is just another reason the VA needs to have massive changes. The VA is supposed to be health care for veterans, a mission they are failing at. Now the VA is becoming as politized as the IRS.
