What If Congress Says NO! to Obama’s Face-Saving War?

NOTE: Rand Paul makes some utterly astounding comments from time to time. I agree with this writer. I find this remark offensive. He's proud of a dictator who day-by-day steals our sovereignty?

Senator Rand Paul(R-KY) seems to have gotten ahead of himself a mite when he declared that he was proud of Barack Obama for following the Constitution by waiting for Congressional action on the pending war against Syria.

As reported, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) told Harris Faulkner on Fox Report that he’s “proud of President Obama” for following the Constitution.”

Two points worth mentioning: Just why in the hell does the President deserve praise for simply following the Constitution?

Is that not what he is sworn, by oath, to do? In other words, that is his GD job!

Secondly, with all due respect to Senator Paul, there are rumblings that, should Congress fail to approve of Obama’s latest ego trip, The One will launch missiles at Syria anyhow!

How proud will Paul be if and when Obama defies Congress directly by ordering a strike which is specifically against the will of Congress?

Will Paul and the rest of the Congress take immediate steps to impeach and remove our Cowboy-wanna-be from office, pride notwithstanding?

Sergeant, I completely agree. However, it is more than unfortunate (lacking a better expression) that no country is willing to come to the aid of the Christians who are being murdered. For all the talk that generally comes from that foul, vile organization called the United Nations, and their proclaimed humanitarian efforts, they do absolutely nothing. That comes as no surprise. My heart breaks for those innocent people who are caught up in these monstrous wars. I understand the situation, at least based on all that I'm reading. Now that the news has been released that BHO is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, which seems to be one more piece that fits the larger puzzle, I think we must at least entertain the thought that this corrupt govt has possibly put the chem weapons into the hands of the rebels. Since we know they are capable of gun running, we must recognize that they are also capable of many murderous acts.

Here are the problems with Syria.

We are only certain that serin gas was used.  We do NOT know for certain which side used it.

Assad is not a nice guy.  Neither is the Muslim Brotherhood.  It is like choosing between Stalin (Assad) and Hitler (Muslim Brotherhood)  as to who to support.  So the choice is between worst and worst.

There doesn't seem to be a good side to help.

My "worse" solution is to stay out.  We will later deal with the last man standing.  Granted a great many innocent will die until that happens.  Until a "secular" side comes forward in strength, we shouldn't help anyone.

This is not a case where, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".  Here all are our enemies.  There is no real friendship to be gained at this time.  It doesn't matter if we help Assad or the Brotherhood, either will still be an enemy.

Even as one that proudly served in Iraq, I say NO to both sides in Syria.
