A warning about a bankrupt America eerily prescient now………

Posted on June 11, 2009 at 4:40pm 0 Comments

Doing a little research I ran across something from the past. I will try to sum it up in my own words and not try to sound so dumb.

President Dwight Eisenhower gave the nation a farewell address almost 50 years ago in which he outlined an urgent warning to America.

The warning is coming true…

President Eisenhower said: As we peer into society’s future, we, you and I, and our government must avoid the impulse to live only for today, plundering for our own ease and convenience, the… Continue

American capitalism gone with a whimper . . . . .

Posted on June 5, 2009 at 12:35pm 0 Comments

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up… Continue

Is this President NUTS !!!!

President Obama repeatedly insists that American foreign policy be conducted with modesty and humility. Above all, there will be no more "dictating" to other countries. We should "forge partnerships as opposed to simply dictating solutions," he told the G-20 summit. In Middle East negotiations, he told al-Arabiya, America will henceforth "start by listening, because all too often the United States starts by dictating."

An admirable sentiment. It applies to everyone -- Iran, Russia,… Continue

Was it really that long ago !!!

Posted on June 1, 2009 at 1:33pm 0 Comments

It seems so long ago. In the weeks after the 2004 election, one exit-poll finding lit up the political world. The survey showed that "moral values" were the single most important issue in the election, narrowly outstripping even the economy and terrorism.

The moral values voters went 80 percent for George W. Bush, and conservative commentators scolded the dreaded liberal media for missing the central dynamic of the election.

"Elites Out of Touch With America's Heart and Soul,"… Continue

The Obama Infatuation

Posted on June 1, 2009 at 1:19pm 0 Comments

The Obama infatuation is a great unreported story of our time. Has any recent president basked in so much favorable media coverage? Well, maybe John Kennedy for a moment, but no president since. On the whole, this is not healthy for America.

Our political system works best when a president faces checks on his power. But the main checks on Obama are modest. They come from congressional Democrats, who largely share his goals if not always his means. The leaderless and… Continue

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."
