SEMINOLE, Fla. (AP) — Staff at a Veterans Affairs hospital in Florida left the body of a veteran in a shower for nine hours after the veteran died and proper pickup procedures to the morgue weren’t followed.
The Tampa Bay Times on Sunday (http://bit.ly/2goW2NK ) reported that an internal investigation concluded that staff at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System failed to provide appropriate post-mortem care to the veteran’s body.
Fox News reported this week that Obama is planning a “farewell tour” in mid-January — boy, I sure hope this is some more of that fake news the alt-left is so worried about.
Farewell tour? I mean, it’s not like this Barry Soetoro is a beloved figure like Big Papi. How can we miss him if he won’t go away?
It’s all about his “legacy” — as if $10 trillion added to the national debt and an eight-year societal malaise aren’t enough of a legacy.
But just in case he really is…Continue

Rep. Phil Roe has been a licensed physician for the last 46 years, so it comes as little surprise that health care issues will be among his top priorities when he takes over the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee next year.
“You have got to put patients and doctors, veterans and doctors back in charge of the [department’s] health care system,” the 71-year-old Tennessee Republican said in an interview with Military…
Green Party candidate Jill Stein launched legal actions to require voter recounts in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan. Although Stein only received about 1% of the popular vote and no chance of winning any state via a recount, she claimed her only motive was to insure voting integrity and that there wasn’t any voter fraud or hacking that swayed the elections. She also claimed it had nothing to do with her wanting Hillary Clinton to win over Donald Trump.
Personally, I welcome the…Continue

The Fourth Amendment is still alive and well, thanks in part to a recent ruling from the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.
In a Nov. 8 opinion, the court overruled a lower court decision and held that an Iraq War veteran, 1st Sgt. Matthew Corrigan, may pursue his claim for monetary damages against the District of Columbia and certain individual police officers after those officers violated his…Continue

I am of a very split mind about John Glenn.
I grew up with the Manned Space Program. There was a story about Major John Glenn's Atlas Mercury flight. I was proud of him and what he did.
He was also a Marine combat pilot during the Korean War. That I can highly respect.
Then he went into politics becoming a Democrat Senator from his home state of Ohio. Senator Glenn still had a dream to fly in space again on the Space Shuttle. He lobbied NASA for a mission. That is…Continue

Several Democrats in the Senate have vowed to punish Republicans for their treatment of Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland by making it as difficult as possible to confirm Donald Trump’s Cabinet appointments. According to a feature story in Politico, multiple Senate Dems are preparing to drag out confirmation hearings well into Trump’s first 100 days, potentially leaving several executive agencies without leadership for the first half of 2017.
“They’ve been rewarded for stealing a…Continue

Former Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman said in a radio interview this weekend that the Democrats need a leader who can keep the liberal wing of the party in check. Lieberman, who was always one of the most conservative Democrats in the Senate – even switching to become an Independent late in his career – told radio host John Catsimatidis that Republicans and Democrats need to cooperate for the good of the country.
“Here is my fear about the future of the Democratic Party,” said…Continue

There’s something fishy going on in Michigan, where a full one-third of precincts in Wayne County – which includes Detroit – were unable to have ballots counted due to discrepancies with ballot counts.
And one person reports single ballots being counted as many as six times.
On Wednesday, a federal judge halted Michigan’s recount after two days of ballot counting, saying there’s not a legitimate reason to continue. After all, Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who asked…Continue

The Michigan Court of Appeals ruled Jill Stein was not an aggrieved candidate and ordered the recount stop, immediately. This is awesome! The recount in Michigan is over!
Someone better find Hillary to console her… Or maybe stay away from her. Remember what happened after she lost the election? Wasn’t pretty.…Continue

It was like a scene straight out of Mr. Robot.
A massive hack attack took nearly a million people offline, cutting them off in an Internet outage that proves how vulnerable our lives have really become.
The motive for the disruption isn’t clear, but the sheer power that now lies in a handful of vigilantes and manipulators is stunning.
If hackers turn against you, your connection to the outside world can be dismantled in a matter of seconds, unless, of course,…Continue
Rowe recently took on the scandal unfolding at Hampshire College that has seen the school decide to remove the American Flag from campus.
Rowe sadly observed the lack of knowledge that must exist for students to believe that given the state of the world, America is the nation that should be protested. He…Continue

Four employees at an Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs facility have resigned after a resident with a maggot-infested wound died while under their care.
Vietnam veteran Owen Reese Peterson, 73, initially came to the Talihina Veterans Center with an infection, but ended up with sepsis and died on Oct. 3.
Sepsis is a potentially life-threatening complication of an infection that can damage the internal organs, causing them to fail.
Peterson had apparently been at the…Continue
